Hammurabi Receiving Laws, Stanford History Education Group, https://sheg.stanford.edu/history-lessons/hammurabis-code, 27 November 2017.

This is a close up of the top part of the stele.  It shows Hammurabi (standing) receiving the laws from the god Shamash (sitting).

Basalt Stele of Hammurabi, Emerson Kent, http://www.emersonkent.com/archaeological_records/code_of_hammurabi.htm, 27 November 2017.

The stele is 7 ft. 6 in. tall.  It contains the 282 laws that make up this code. It is from approx. 1700 BCE.

The eighth grade ancient history scholars have re-enacted the crimes, and faced their punishment from the Law Court of Babylon.  They are interpreting what these laws can tell us about the society of Babylon.
